The IBM Software Development Platform provides all the tools you need to evolve your applications and business processes into an e-business on demand environment. At its core is a flexible process framework for large or small projects called the IBM Rational Unified Process®, or RUP®. RUP references tools for modeling and design that can automatically generate code for specific operating environments. The IBM Software Development Platform also includes an integrated development environment (IDE) and testing tools based on the open source Eclipse framework that allows developers to code applications using the latest component architectures such as Java® J2EE® or turn them easily into Web services for deployment into Service Oriented Architectures. |
