Communiqué lets you send emails from your iSeries quickly, simply and reliably using either an easy to use command or an API. Messages can be plain text or HTML (SNDDST doesn't support HTML). Each message can have multiple attachments (SNDDST allows only one). Attachments can be database file members or can be stream files taken from any part of the IFS (not just QDLS as with SNDDST). Attachments can have long file names (not just 8.3 as with SNDDST). Communiqué allows you to create and manage email address lists for easy sending to multiple recipients. Communiqué also integrates with ariadne's CoolSpools and Slipstream software to enable the email options in those products allowing PDFs, Excel files and other file types to be emailed after creation.
